Early Signs and Symptoms of a Heart Attack

Common Symptoms

Chest Discomfort

  • Pain or pressure in the chest
  • Tightness or squeezing sensation

Upper Body Pain

  • Pain spreading to the arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach

Shortness of Breath

  • Trouble catching breath
  • Can occur with or without chest discomfort

Other Symptoms

  • Cold sweats
  • Nausea
  • Lightheadedness or dizziness
  • Unusual fatigue
